Helmets and Corndogs

We have a new way of getting Carsen to sit at the table and eat....he gets to wear his helmet. (Oh yes, he also has a new shirt.....SHREK.) Once again, Grandpa Nordfelt is to blame for this shirt as well (he didn't buy it, but he took him to see the movie, so now Carsen knows who Shrek is.) Chad bought him this shirt hoping it would replace Spiderman (no such luck....now I just have two ridiculous shirts he chooses between!!!)

Anyways! Carsen loves his helmet and wants it buckled up. On Sunday he put the helmet on and Chad left the house to go home teaching. An hour later Chad came home and walked through the door and guess who still had the helmet on---you guessed it!

As a disclaimer---he does not eat corndogs and drink Capri Suns everyday!

Sunday Morning

Because church doesn't start until 1:00--we usually head down to the basement to hang out for a while in the morning (in our pajamas of course...why bother getting dressed?) Carsen wanted to hold Myka, so I couldn't resist snapping some shots of the cutest kids!

Herriman Days

Fort Herriman Days! We headed off bright (and hot) early Saturday morning to watch the parade with some neighbors----all of the trucks with banners on the side. (Whatever happened to the fancy floats?) Carsen and the other kids had a blast gathering candy (he was eating it as quickly as they were throwing it. What a great thing at 9 a.m.)

After the parade we headed off to the booths and rides. Carsen loved the little train and the boats. Luckily he was satisfied after riding those.

Chad was super busy this weekend working on yet another project! He built stairs down from our deck so we have access to the backyard now from the house. Carsen was his Daddy's little helper. He even had his own little tools out there working alongside him.

Driving Range

We went to Mulligans Golf Course for family home evening so Carsen could test his skills on the driving range! He had a blast. People around us were amazed that such a little boy could hit the ball so well.....Of course Carsen was quite proud of himself.

Cute Kiddies

Myka is getting so big and chunky. She is such a happy baby---and is never left alone by Carsen. He loves to give her kisses (and sometimes a bit too close). Everytime I try to take a picture of Myka, Carsen thinks he has to be in it. In the picture below he said, "Hey, she's eating my face."
