Preschool Summer Camp

Carsen made it through his first session of Summer Camp! He did awesome (much to my surprise, I must admit.) I thought for sure we were going to have to come up with some pretty fabulous bribes....but none were needed. This weeks camp was "Kids in the Kitchen" and he came home every day with new treats to share with us that he had 'cooked up.'

The first day I dropped him off I had a more difficult time than he did. (I didn't let it show, but I was certainly feeling it on the inside.) I couldn't believe I was dropping my little buddy off at Preschool! (I felt choked up and sad that my little man was big enough to be going to preschool, and it seemed he didn't need me anymore!) However, after returning home with just one kid (and putting that little monkey down for a nap) I was very excited about the time I had to myself! (Which I didn't put to good use...unless you call catching up on the "Bachelorette" good use of time!)

On Father's Day Carsen was adamant that he help us cook dinner....so we let "Chef Carsen" handle the buttering of the bread.

Wow, I can't believe he is old enough to go to preschool camp! That is fun for him though, and nice for you to get a break. I will be sad when Jace goes to preschool too, he is my little buddy- we talk a lot. Thanks for hosting movie night! It was fun! See you soon.

How cute!! He looks like he had a blast. I wish there was something around here like that to get Leah used to the idea of preschool. But there's not so she is just going to get thrown into it in August. I don't know how I'm going to handle it, but only having one kid at home makes for some consolation!!

He is so big. I can't believe he is going to preschool either. They grow up so fast. After a while you will thoroughly enjoy your time to yourself and it also helps you to enjoy your time with them even more. He is so darn cute!

Catching up on The Bachelorette is a perfect way to use up some free time Keysh. :-) You deserve that. Did you watch last nights episode? I really like Jason, but I think she's more into Graham, but then again I think her intuition of him not being "here for the right reason" is right. Anyway....gotta love the show!

I totally know what you mean about feeling like they don't need you. But of course he does. I'm excited for him and Ethan to have preschool together.

That picture is darling...I love it. I still remember the first day Coop went to Preschool, it was super hard, even harder when he went to kindergarten. I don't know what it is, the fact that they are growing up to fast or that they are on their own for a little bit and you just worry about them. I think it is a little bit of both.

What kind of neighbor are you not telling me about preschool camp?? HELLO!!!

Catching up on anything is a good thing, Bachelorette and all. (So mad Shawn went home)

I want to have a little playdate with Carsen and Ian...Let Greg have another week to get completely over this and tell me what you think!

Keysha,
I am hooked on the bachelorette too so no judgments here. I would have done the same thing. Carsen's preschool looks so fun. That is great that he did so well.

the picture with the chef's hat is the cutest ever! So I always watch the bachelor and Andy rips on me so bad! I didn't even know they started a new bachelorete. Dang I am missing out!
