Santa, I want......

My sister-in-law Kelly has a family tradition of making gingerbread houses and receiving a visit from Old St. Nick....right to her parents living room chair. Joyce (Kelly's mom) is one of the nicest people I know; she is always inviting my family to come and join in their family festivities. (I think she feels bad for us, because my kids grandparents' are all so far away). Whatever her reasoning, we love being part of their family get-togethers! Carsen even calls her, "Grandma Joyce."

Carsen was so excited to see Santa Clause. I kept asking him throughout the day, "What are you going to tell Santa you want for Christmas?" His reply was, "I'll decide when it's time." (I was hoping I could receive some hints so I could start planning...beings that the Black Friday shopping escapade was an absolute FLOP).

Sure enough, he told Santa, "I want a shotgun." (Last year he asked for a gun too. My Dad is so proud).

Santa and Mrs. Clause were so cute with the kids; they sang songs and ready them a story. At the end of each kids turn they received a candycane and a big hug....

Myka would have absolutely nothing to do with Santa. She did give him a little wave, but that was it...Myka was much too intrigued with the table full of gingerbread candy and my cell phone.

Anyone guess what I need for Christmas? (A cell phone. Myka's favorite toy is my phone. It has to be turned on. She calls it, "Pa.")

I love the pic of her chowing on the phone - too cute! (I only think so because I don't have kids yet :) )

They are a darling Mr and Mrs. Sounds like the holidays have been fun and busy already for you. We had some fun times in high school together but you should've slapped me when we were in Moab, you know what I mean:) You're darling, love the updates.

That is so funny that Carsen already wants a shot gun. That reminds me of a classic Christmas movie that we have all seen a million times. Don’t let him shoot his eye out! But wait a minute that was just a harmless little B.B. gun in that show.

How do little kids know the difference between real cell phones and fake ones? Myka is such a sweetie!

That sounds like you had a lot of fun. Santa and Mrs. Clause looked so great!

A shot gun? Are you dying over that one? What do you DO? I mean, Santa gives you what you ask for, right? UGH. So tricky...Lauren loves to play with my keys, which means my alarm is forever going off! Maybe Santa will bring you a cool new phone?! Hint?

Kaylee is anti-Santa as well. She starts shaking when we get too close to him at the mall but will wave to him at a distance. We are glad you have fun things to do around the holidays.

Awesome that they included you guys in the fun tradition!
If your getting him what he really wants, you should move here.
And yes, I would still love to do an L&L course in your neighborhood in the Spring.

Ethan and Carsen have asked for the same thing...except Ethan wants a semi-automatic. LOL!

WOW, I bet Santa was a little surprised about the Gun. I hope Santa's little helps can make a nice one for him. He is all boy isn't he.

It was so good to hear from you the other day. I have to admit that I peak at your blog now and then to see how your little family is doing. You are such a darling mother to those kids. Myka is a doll, and Carsen is a little Chad. How cute! I think about you guys often and hope all is going well. Sounds like it is. You have an amazing family. Have a great Christmas.
