Ice, Ice, Baby

Have you ever....iced your face? Sound cold? Miserable? Downright dumb? Give it a try...I promise you will love it and the results you will love even more.

I started visiting an Esthetician about a year and a half ago; she is a miracle worker might I add. She has given me great facial treatments and products, but the best has been her advice to me, "Ice your face every night." It truly works! Whenever I become lax in my icing, it is clearly visible.

Okay, so here's the deal. I know there are some of you out there reading my blog, but not commenting...that's all fine and dandy; but I know you're going to get an ice cube tonight and ice your face. I want to hear back from you in a week or so about how your face looks and feels!

I just take one ice cube and ice down my entire face for about 4 minutes....(maybe start out with less if you find it positively unbearable!) And I'm sure you'll see results even if you can't muster 4 minutes!

**Okay! I guess I was not descriptive enough! As far as the benefits of icing...it is really good for breakouts (acne as you say) and just overall helps with the appearance of your skin. (Kelly, you do not need to ice your face....your skin is what we're all trying to achieve by icing!) Give your face good ice-down (paying attention to any trouble areas). Seriously, a frozen little miracle!**

Keysha,
what miracle does this ice thing create. Does it clear acne, cause I'm all for trying anything for my acne if it will work! Let me know

yes, do we do this after we wash our face? Would it do anything if I ice it for LESS then 4 minutes? Wow, it's going to be cold tonight!!

What? Are you serious? My skin is yuck this winter (I blame the inversions and not my old age!) I am so trying this. Dan is going to think I'm a nut!

I am totally going to try that! I used to ice once in awhile in high school but just on zits. I will let you know what happens.

I'm totally going to try this. I don't know what it is, but ever since I stopped nursing Noah my skin is going CraZy! Welcoming back to blogging:)

You're back! It's so nice to see some updates since we live SO far away and never know what's going on with the Pecks. I started updating my blog but I seriously suck. One of these days. Are you guys settled yet? I don't know about this ice thing. I'm too big of a woss and I HATE the cold. Maybe I'll try it in the summer :)

okay...benefits from icing...improved circulation, smaller pores, less inflammation from blemishes, a nice glow...and I am sure there are more but those are what I am observing thus far.

I don't know if I could handle the ice, not to mention I never have any. :) I am glad to see you have updated your blog.:)

I have been icing ever since the posting. I am loving how my face feels tight! Seems to help with the little zits around the crease of my nose. Thanks for the tip! (I hate doing it on my forehead-but I suck it up every night!)

It works! I have done it for 5 days and wow! I have a teenagers acne prone skin, always have at least one zit, usually more. I have not gotten one since I started icing! My skin also just looks better! Thanks Keysha! Glad to see you blogging again!

Keysha, I stumbled on to your blog from Desiree's blog and I am so happy I did! I have been icing my face for days and can't believe what a difference it has made already. I am so jumping on the ice bandwagon for good. :) Who is your esthetician? My old one (from when I was a teenager) retired and I've been going to a dermatologist ever since and it's not doing much for me. Oh, and by the way...your family picture is amazing. Looks like it came right out of a magazine! Your kids are adorable! :)
