Back to Life.

I feel like I have received a small part of my life back. I found a terrific baby-sitter! (All you neighbor gals are beyond terrific, but I just can't use you when I want to hang with you!) She's an absolute doll and she actually asked if she could come back again! We used her for the first time Friday night and I came home to a clean house, Myka sound asleep, and Carsen tuckered out from playing games and basketball. (Of course she had given him the requested strawberry milk and popcorn. It just couldn't be the conclusion of another day without those two items for my little man!) My hair dresser referred this cute 13-year-old to me, and I feel like I could kiss both of them! Here's the start of a lot more outings (without having to rely solely on my sister-in-law Robyn!) For those of you who know where I live and what surrounds me, you realize how difficult it is to find a good baby-sitter. I think the average age for kids around here is like 5......Not quite baby-sitting material!

On a side note. I am ready for the month of January to be over with. I feel like this has been the "sick month" for my family. (We really are a very healthy family. I can't believe the illnesses that have been through this house this month!!! Yikes!) I am on the rebound today from Strep throat. The first time in my entire life that I have ever had this awful thing, and I hope it's the last. Eating, talking, sleeping and drinking are absolute chores (when normally they all come very naturally to me)! Thank heavens for antibiotics...I'm just mad I waited so long! Only one more day of this dreadful month!

There is nothing better than finding a cute babysitter that plays with the kids, puts them to bed AND cleans up the mess....YEAH! I'm so sorry you've had strep...that is the worst, expecially when your a mom- you don't get to take a sick day. Hopefully February will be a healthier month for you guys.

I love that Carsen's nightly routine consists of strawberry milk and popcorn, that is so cute! He is definetly YOUR son, isn't he!

Share the love! :) Carsen and I would get along really well. I am a popcorn addict. Sometime I tell you a secret recipe that is heavenly.

I'm sorry it has been the month of sickness. That seems to happen to us every other year. But just one more day and it's February! That's almost Spring, right?!

You lucky girl - a sitter is worth gold around here! And one that cleans your house?! You'd better keep her name and number to yourself!

Sorry about the strep - I got that every fall growing up, soo not fun. Hope you are feeling better soon!

Hurray for the last day of January!! I just got back from the Dr. with Easton because he has the yuck that's going around. I'm ready for some sunshine! That's so great about finding a good sitter! Our neighborhood has the same 'average age' problem and it's hard to find girls that aren't babysitted out. So congrats!!

I need to find a babysitter like that. We seem to always come home to happy kids but a really messy house.

I am happy you found a babysitter. I just am sad it's not us and that we don't live closer. Glad you are on the mend.
By the way, I sure love that bedding, and it actually looks super cute with that paint! Thanks again!
