Golfing.

It's my favorite time of year--the start of golf season! To "jump start" the season, Chad heads off (with 3 other buddies) to St. George for the rest of the weekend. I dropped him off this morning at 8:30 a.m. so they could drive to St. George and make their 2:00 Tee-Time....Which is followed by 2 more days of rigorous golfing and eating... Tomorrow includes another 36 holes of golf. (Not joking). And then Saturday 18 and another 18 (if they feel like it) when they get to Fillmore on their drive home.

All the while I am left at home (on a fabulous weekend) with two beautiful, energetic, obnoxious, exhausting, whining, messy children. For three straight days...without any spousal support. Yes, like I said...this is my absolute favorite time of year. I am so glad golf season is here again! (Am I a bad wife?)

Um....okay! No you are not a bad wife. I couldn't agree more. Jason says he has to go for "work", but ends up golfing the whole time he is down there too.
It is hard to be supportive sometimes when they get all the fun times without the kids and we have to put on our "HAPPY FACES" and act like it is are favorite thing to do...hahaha!
I still love him, it just frustrates sometimes:)

I feel your pain sista!!!!

Are you a bad wife?!?!??! Quite the opposite I'd say. I'm sure he's useing the "...but, it's my birthday..." excuse:-) I wish we were together this weekend cuz Frank is leaving me as well- making a looooong drive to Omaha to try and find us a place to live. Boy, church is going to be EXTRA fun this week (typing this as I'm forcing a smile). Anyhoo, we'll be enjoying singlehood this weekend together.
Love ya,
Kami

You know what the consensus is going to be on this post - you are not a bad wife by any means, just a NORMAL one! I must admit that I am dreading this season too - and it lasts forever.

Just think of this - your husband will be gone all weekend playing golf, mine will be home all weekend watching golf (the Masters). I'm not sure which is worse: having TJ here watching golf or having him gone :) Five days of golf coverage is just too much for me! We need to plan something girlie to do all summer!

I agree!! There are so many "seasons" for the guys... I think we "girls" need to make at least a weekend, where we all get together and do a spa getaway, and leave all the guys home with the kiddo's!! I feel the same way... except besides golf there is wrestling and wakeboarding too... So no, you are not a bad wife, unless we all are!! Love ya Keysha-if you ever want to do the spa thing I am seriously in! It could be a reunion thing!

I am now grateful Dan does not watch or play golf! Hang in there with the kids!

I have one comment....this year for every round of golf I play during non-work time Trisha will get the equivalant amount of time paid her in dollars at $15 an hour plus the equal amount of time i spent golfing. i.e three hours of golf for ryan equals $45 dollars and three hours of time to Trisha)
is that fair .......please note this is only for golf played during non-work hours. any golf Mon-Fri during hours of 6-6 are not compensated time.
One last thought....I am going to miss my golfing buddies.....just not the same out here.
Carsen and Myka are getting so big..get a club in that boys hand.

Keysha, don't listen to Ryan!!!

All I have to say is that when Chad gets back, he better be in a mood to let you buy whatever you want and do whatever you want whenever!!!

I think the shops here in LA are calling for you! You ladies should plan a quick getaway for some R&R!!!

Keysha,
Sounds like you and your neighbor girls need a weekend of shopping, childless, when Chad returns.
I am sure glad Kye is not a big golfer. Hang in there!

Hmmm....Trisha..I think a little sunny Cali weather would be perfect. I'm seriously going to talk to the ladies and plan something! (You can show us all the great places!) Let's seriously make it happen.

I do like Ryan's idea of being compensated! (Was he serious?)

I totally feel your pain. Although Chad would say that he "never" gets to golf. I need to keep him away from the men in your neighborhood because I know they are addicted! And of course you are not a bad wife. The reason there are two people to raise the kids is because it takes two people! (If you want to stay sane!) God bless single moms.

Oh Keysha, I totally hear ya. Let's just get Jared and Chad to golf together so we can atleast hang out! It looks like your 4 wheeling trip was fun. And that sunny weather is calling my name! I also can't believe Myka is 1! Where did that year go?

I am in on the weekend getaway with at Trisha's!! (I hope I am invited) And like everyone else said, you are not a bad wife...your letting him go on this trip, that says a ton! Hang in there, I hope tonight is a little better than last night :)

I am not sure that I understand your post. Tell me again what is wrong with a weekend away with the boys enjoying friends and conducting business? Sounds like a great business trip to me.

Mr. Wishing I was there

TJ--you're not allowed to comment. Of course it sounds great to you! You're a guy and you love to golf. (You weren't invited because you're too good and would've taken all their money!!! Just Kidding!)

Not a bad wife at all! I can't blame you one bit!! ---But truthfully I just can't believe anyone can take THAT much golf. You definately deserve a girls weekend sans kiddos.
