Summer Love'n

The summer is zipping by (I can feel fall in the air in the wee hours of morning! Love it. But I also feel sad the lazy days of summer will soon be coming to and end!) On that note..I feel like I haven't posted enough about the great times we have had this summer. It's the simple day to day things that have made this summer wonderful and fly right by.

Here's what the day-to-day events consist of usually: pool or park.

POOL OF A LIFETIME
I love our gym pool. It's convenient, and I don't feel like I have to stay all afternoon. In fact, about 2 hours is my absolute max. I'm lucky I was able to snag these pictures; a lifeguard came and told me I was at a 'private gym and no photography allowed.' Oh well.

GETAWAY TO GATEWAY
I wanted to take the kids to the Gateway, thinking that Myka would be excited by the fountains. Wrong. This is what she thought of it: (and that is her rendition of a tantrum)

This is what Carsen thought:

PARK HOPPERS
One (of the many) great things about my neighborhood is I am surrounded by parks and so many little kids. Even when I don't plan to go to the park with friends there is always someone there to talk with and the kids to play with.

AND I just had to include my silly little girl...Myka just being Myka. She is in love with shoes and tries on everyone's shoes who comes over.

I'm also sad summer is coming to an end...I am every year. Cute Pics. I can't believe they wouldn't let you take pictures at the gym.

seriously? no gym pictures? That's pretty lame. Especially since these pictures make me want to go swimming there! I've only gone a couple of times, but the kids love it. I should go to the parks more. I'm so lazy.

Summer is the best! I love the tantrum picture. I am so jealous that you are surrounded by parks in your neighborhood! We have none except our elementary school.

Looks like a great summer. I'm glad I've been able to share a few of the fun days with you. Love the pic of Myka throwing a tantrum (reminds me of Claire) and her in the shoes. With her mom's great taste in footwear, she's destined to love shoes!

We took our camera to the gym too and they told us they were going to take it. I thought Jason was going to freak out.

I love the parks around the neighborhood. They are fabulous. I miss being able to just go during the day and relax. So do a little relaxing for me...will ya?!?!?!

LOL! No pics at the gym??? What is that all about? That is hilarious. I had no idea they didn't allow that. Anyway when have you been going? We are always there too, its the best to sit and soak in the sun rays as your kiddos play right in front of you. Lets plan a time to meet there, before it closes.

I don't like how fast the summer is flying by either! I'm not ready for the cold weather, so we'll just have to enjoy it while we can! We love to go to the park also!

Thanks for the pictures, Keysha, I look every day and wonder where you are!! Personally, I'm so glad summer is about over-way too hectic and long hours. We leave the 30th for Alaska-yeah! We both need to get out of this store! We have tickets to one of the temple dedications this sunday with the prophet-we're pretty excited! Love you all lots and lots! Kathi

Those are some cute shoes she has on...they look really familiar:)

I can't believe summer is almost over, it is a bittersweet. I am excited for fall, but not excited for winter.

Fun pics and I think you have done a ton of fun things this summer. I don't know if you could possibly do more, well you could but you might not be to sane.

Well Keysh, I would love it if you would come and hang out at my place next summer! I think it would be pretty cool to do the Spudman myself. I will need to probably get a road bike, which I have been wanting to do, and start swimming too, so I don't drown. That's makes me so excited! I can't believe how big your kids are getting. They are so darn cute!

LOVE the shoe picture! My boys try on people's shoes too. Isn't it such a fun age to watch them toddle around in shoes too big? Love your blog! Hope you don't mind that I take look every now and then:)

Love this post. So sad that summer is going but also happy for fall, my favorite season. (It makes running a lot easier as well.)

That pool look awesome! I want an invite. :) BTW I'm so sad you moved Carson to morning preschool. Boo hoo. We still need to get our boys together, Ethan needs a friend who is his age.
