I LOVE this time of year! The weather is perfect, and I am actually enjoying it getting darker a little earlier. (That is why I am a fan of the seasons. By the time spring and summer come rolling around again I am beyond ready for them...but I am always greeting fall with open arms!)
Here's a brief rundown of what we have been up too lately.
I'm so Glad When Daddy Comes Home
Lucky Chad. He gets a special greeting everyday when he comes home from work. (I should feel lucky I am with them all day, right?)
If we are in the house playing and Carsen hears the garage door open he starts hollering, "Dad's home...Dad's home!" And races downstairs. Myka follows after him shouting, "Hi. Hi. Hi." Then they enjoy their happy little reunion.
The other day we were outside playing when Chad pulled in from work. Carsen put his arm around Myka and they both stood there frantically waving and grinning at him as he pulled in the drive. I wasn't quick enough to grab the camera to capture that precious moment; but I did get them giving him his usual hugs and kisses.
Oh, Myka!
Little Myka is one busy girl. I will have people say to me all the time, "Oh wow, she's busy." Or another comment I get is, "She's curious." Yes, to say the least....she never seems to stop.
Not only is she busy, but she loves to tease. I have a feeling we are in for it with this girl. She loves to take things of Carsen's and run away from him. She will walk out in the middle of the road with a big grin on her face and look behind her to see if I am watching. If we are at a store or a restaurant and I let her down she runs away laughing so I will chase her. (So fun.)
Ride on Carsen!
Carsen has become quite good on his scooter and loves to cruise around on it. He ALWAYS wears his helmet. He insists. (Fine by me!) He is a rule followeer and does not like to get in trouble. Such a good boy!
Bluffdale Rodeo
Our friends the Jones' invited us out for a 'yee haw good 'ole time' at the Bluffdale Rodeo. It was a small-town rodeo with the opening act being bull-riding! Wahooo! (I mean, yeee haw!) I loved it, because I was able to dust off my red cowboy boots and finally wear them someplace! (No picture of the boots...maybe next rodeo!)
Utah's 'Finest' State Fair
Friday evening we decided to venture on down to the State Fair and see if we could waste some money on some rides and food. We succeeded! Actually, the kids had a fabulous time, and we adults enjoyed ourselves too (people watching is very entertaining at the fair! Like I said...some of Utah's finest are in attendance!)
Jason was lucky enough to take home a fabulous fair souvenior. His belt broke right when we got there (too many funnel cakes and fried twinkies, Jason?) so lucky for him he was able to score this sweet little number:
Myka was a crack-up. When we walked through to see the animals this was the expression she had on her face: (pinching her nose)!
Carsen loved the rides and Myka was beyond escatic to hug and kiss her puppy won by Chad's amazing game-playing abilities.

Um...can I get that Jason guys number???
That belt buckle is HOT:) Seriously I can't believe he bought that thing. I guess it is better than the other choices he had..right?
The fair was so fun. I am glad that you invited us to tag along. My kids are still talking about how much fun they had and how we are going to go next year and do "even more" things!!
The Bluffdale Rodeo is definitely on our list of things to do next year as well. Your kids are darling and those Cowboy boots you wore..LOVE THEM!! I need to get me some before next year!!
I love Carsen and Myka! I love their personalities! I love how Carsen's mind works and listening to his questions. And yes, he is a rule follower and that is awesome! And Myka is so crazy and funny and while it is funny to watch her, it's even funnier to watch you when you run after her. :) I know exactly how you feel because that was SO Huck. Aren't you glad that in 3.5 years she'll slightly grow out of it?! Plus she is just so cute it's probably hard to get frustrated for too long!
What cute kids you have! Those pictures from the rodeo are so cute. Looks like fun.
(there's always something extra special about seeing a new post from the siblings....anyways...)
Awww...it's moments like "when daddy comes home" that make life so sweet, eh?
We missed out on all the rodeo and fair life this year. I'm sure they had stuff like that going on around here, I just didn't think to look into it. Darn! Next year, I guess. And whoo-whoo to the belt buckle Jas! Love it.
I love the Daddy is home stuff. My kids do similar things. I have to say I wish they were that excited to see me every day. I'm sure they are on the inside. Hmmm. ;)
Busy, busy, busy! And lots of fun! I bet that is Chad's favorite part of the day, when he comes home and gets to see his cute kids and how excited they are to see him.
Looks like we missed out on a fun state fair, maybe next year we will have to catch it (Bode might not be so crazy then, cross our fingers:)
You have on cute family and are always doing some killer fun activites....never a dull moment with the Peck family.
Thanks for the cute pictures and update-I sure love these blogs and the lift they give me. I look at the pictures over and over (during the day when I should be working!) We'd love you guys to come up sometime this fall for one of Todd's ballgames, maybe. Love you all lots, A. Kathi
I love how they get so excited when their Daddy gets home...I bet that makes Chad's day!
Can I just tell you that Myka is way too cute. I love her fun personality! And when she pinched her nose going through that barn filled with stinky pigs, I thought that was the best! She is so cute!!!
And that photo of Ryan and Carsen together is priceless. They are so adorable together!
Hey Keysha- I just found your blog and wanted to comment on how cute your little family is. It is so fun to see what everyone is up to and to be able to keep in touch! It looks like you guys are doing very well!
Lauren Ludlow Cox
Don't you just love the CLASSY people that go to the fair? We went to the Iron County Fair, and it was a treat! Your hair seems to be getting long, it's really pretty!
How fun!! You always do the cutest things with your kids:) They are really so lucky to have such a fun and energetic mom!
Howdy Keysha,
Did you happen to see any of my family at the Bluffdale rodeo? I forget you live so close to my parents sometimes. Hope you survived your plane ride.
