Book Suggestion

Anyone have a good book suggestion? I am wanting a fun, easy, entertaining book to read while I'm in London. Suggest away!

I've gotten into Shannon Hale books lately - Goose Girl, etc. They are an easy read and would probably be perfect for London!

Funny you should say that; I LOVE "Goose Girl" and my sister-in-law recommend the other two books by her. I put them on reserve at the library; but I put this post up in case I don't get them in time.....! We are on the same page Heidi. Thanks for the suggestion.

I just read her book, Austenland (eh, it was ok, but it was easy to pick up and put down a lot, so maybe good for traveling!) Shannon is in Kjersten's book club - no pressure to read book and have the author there, huh?! Seems that a lot of what I've read lately has been like that (The Senators Wife - weird) I'll let you know if I think of anything else.

A bunch of my friends and I just read the book The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins and is was super super good.
Then a friend just suggested the series Uglies by Scott Westerfield. The three books are called Uglies, Pretties, and Specials.

Try the Stephanie Plum Series by Janet Evanovich. The first one is called "One for the Money." These books are hilarious!

Wow, I've got alot of books to catch up on-I haven't heard of any of these mentioned.
I was going to suggest "Angels & Demons" because the movie comes out in May. It is suspenseful and informative about the Vatican and it's amazing history. It's by the same author as the "Da Vinci Code". Maybe you've already read it-it's been around awhile. Have a great time in London. Love, Aunt Kathi

This suggestion will sound much less "educational" than all the others, but when I'm on vacation I want an easy read that keeps my attention. Do you like mystery's? I love Mary Higgins Clark's books - they are interesting and always keep me on the edge of my seat. Plus you can usually get them from the library or in paperback at Target for really cheap. I just read one to and from Mississippi, and really enjoyed it.

I'm taking Water for Elephants and the Glass Castle to Hawaii......have heard they're good but we'll see :)

I have really liked a lot of the Jodi Picolt (sp??) books, sometimes they are a little PG-13ish, but they really keep my interest. I have a few if you want to borrow.

I really like the Amelia Bedilia books too...they make me laugh like crazy:)

The Five People You Meet in Heaven or Tuesdays with Maurie by Mitch Albom or of course the Twilight series :)

Keysha if you want to read goose girl series my friend has them and I'm sure she'd lend them to you.

I have Angels and Demons and it's the illustrated version which is really cool if you want to borrow that. (I have Da Vinci Code Illustrated too if you want to take that.)

I am trying to think of fun reads as of late but I've been reading either serious fiction or non-fiction stuff.

I just read Nefertiti by Michelle Moran. It was FABULOUS!!! A great historical fiction. My kind of a history lesson and I soooo enjoyed it! She just came out with the sequel called "The Heretic Queen," I think I'm like 28 on the list at the library. Anyway, good read!!! Have fun on your trip!

I know it's too late now because your already gone but I just started reading one yesterday called, Skipping Christmas by John Grisham. It's just a fun and easy read, but it also makes you think about certain Christmas rituals we have that make absolutely no sense. If you want I'll lend it to ya when you get back:)
