(he's probably going to kill me for this picture; but we all died laughing the night this was taken......)
My Dear Dad turns 60 today! (March 4th) That seems so old to me, yet he is still so young and energetic. My Dad is one of my best friends. (I think a lot of people feel that way about him). He is easy to talk too and so much fun to hang-out with. He has always been my number one fan (and I have always been a huge fan of him!)
I asked Carsen what he loves about his Pa and he said, "When we karate fight." My Dad isn't the type of grandfather to just sit on the coach and watch the kids play; he's down wrestling with them and playing. I don't think I know of another grandpa who loves and fully enjoys his grandkids as much as my Dad does. He would rather be with his 'best buddies' than doing anything else...He will call just to talk to Myka and Carsen (almost every day).
My Dad is a true mans man (nothing 'metro-sexual' about him.) He is an avid hunter, fisher and story-stretcher:) My Dad tells the absolute best stories! He thinks every little boy (and girl) should own a gun and loves to take his grandkids fishing, hunting, camping and anything else that involves dirt and nature. My Dad is a 'goer' and always has some outing planned--and gets excited to get going on that outing. (Growing up we would leave for Lake Powell at 4 in the morning because my Dad couldn't sleep he was so excited!)
I love my Dad and wish way too often he lived closer so we could get together for just the little things. Growing up my Dad and I had a special day every year called, "Spoil Keysha Day." (Some may argue this was everyday; but let's be honest....we all know I was never spoiled:) My Dad and I would take the day off of school and go do whatever I wanted to do. We went golfing, shopping, out to lunch, and just spent the day talking and doing things with just the two of us.
I love you Dad. I hope you have a special 60th birthday. I will be thinking of you and wish I could be with you to celebrate this special day!

I want to be best friends with your dad! He sounds like the perfect dad. What a wonderful tribute!
Your dad is really awesome. Those pictures are so fun!
He is the best grandpa around. He is so cute and nice with ALL the kids when they are around. He never acts like they are a burden.
What a great post Keysha! Thanks for sharing your dad with us! :)

Those are some classic photos...I don't know any grandpa that can still do a headstand!
Happy Birthday Uncle Superman!! He has convinced my kids that is his name! We love him too!! Andy is always talking about Uncle Kirt. We always look forward to when we get to see him and your mom. You are such a sweet daughter. BTW I love all you LOVES!
Happy Birthday to your dad! What a great idea - Spoil Keysha Day. I think Dan needs to start that with Lauren - too cute. Hope your dad has a terrific day!
Happy Birthday Superman! Your Dad will always have a special spot in my heart. He's such a neat guy!
My Dad also turned 60 this year, it does sound old until your parents actually get there and seem so young. I didn't realize our Dad's were the same age.
Who doesn't love Kirtley?!! I will always remember our trip to D.C. together, and how laid back he was. I hadn't visited your blog for awhile, so it was fun to see all your LOVE posts. Are you doing the spudman? If so, you can come and stay at my house. I miss you Keysh!
I'm a little late but... Happy Birthday Uncle Superman! Gosh Keysh another reason I just can't get enough of your fam! I loved those times I got to spend with you guys in Heber (even if I was a little brat!) I think I have the best extended family in the world...
Great tribute to Uncle Superman! All my nieces and nephews love him too and LOVE when he pulls candy out of their ear. Reading that post reminds me of our sweet Grandpa! I think that's where our Dad's learned how to be the best Grandpa's ever, don't you?!
Yes, Sara, I too remember how great Kirtley was on the D.C. trip! Happy 60th Birthday! I love the "Spoil Keysha Day" idea! I bet you have so many great memories of just the two of you together.
I'm way late... but tell your dad happy birthday! I miss your dad and always thought he was the coolest!!
Looks like my little girl and your daddy now share the same birthday! fun!
Oh, and I have to argue that the "spoil Keysha day" was every day! lol.
That was a great post. I loved hearing how wonderful your dad is. Every time I have seen him I could tell he was an awesome guy. You are lucky to have such a great dad!
Randall needs to have spoil Ryan day. I love when little girls love their dads so much.
